This beautiful talisman is well crafted and detailed Eye of Horus pendant created from the finest high-quality Nickel-compliant pewter and gloss black resin. Horus was the falcon-headed solar and sky god from ancient Egypt and was the son of Osiris and Isis. According to legend, the left eye was torn from Horus by his murderous brother Seth, and magically restored by Thoth, the God of magic. Some stories state Horus made a gift of the eye to Osiris, which allowed this solar deity to rule the underworld.

This is the right eye - the one that survived - and as the udjat (or utchat), it represented the sun. Spiritually, the right eye reflects solar, masculine energy, as well as reason and mathematics. The Eye of Horus was believed to have healing, strength and protective power, and it was, and still is, used as a protective amulet.

It comes ready to wear on an adjustable cord (approx 14" to 30" long) The pendant is 27mm (just over 1") in diameter.
